Sertec Celebrates Double Success at the CBM Annual Awards

Sertec Celebrates Double Success at the CBM Annual Awards

We are proud to announce that Sertec attended the Confederation of British Metalforming (CBM) Annual Awards on Thursday, 23rd April, returning with two prestigious awards that recognise both individual excellence and our wider commitment to our people.

Apprentice of the Year – Jack Neal

Jack Neal was named CBM Apprentice of the Year, in recognition of his outstanding progress in learning and development, alongside his strong technical contributions.

Throughout his apprenticeship, Jack has played a key role in a gantry crane improvement project and has made a significant impact through the Factory Showcase, clearly demonstrating his skill, dedication and commitment. Winning this award for the second year running is a fantastic achievement for Sertec and highlights the continued success of our apprenticeship programme and the exceptional talent developing within our business.

CBM Employee Engagement Award 2026

Sertec was also honoured to receive the 2026 CBM Employee Engagement Award.

The judges recognised Sertec’s clear ambition to be an employer of choice for our people, customers and partners. They highlighted the sustained investment in our transformed employee engagement strategy and the significant, measurable impact this has had on our culture, sense of belonging and overall business performance.

This award is a powerful reflection of the collective effort across the organisation and the commitment, care and passion shown by our people every day.

Sertec Recognised at Birmingham Children’s Hospital 100 Heroes Event

On Sunday 22nd March, Sertec attended Birmingham Children’s Hospital’s 100 Heroes event, an occasion recognising organisations that have made a significant contribution to supporting the hospital and its services.

At the event, Sertec was awarded a Gold Balloon in recognition of raising over £25,000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital. This award reflects the scale of fundraising achieved through the organisation’s ongoing charity partnership.

Sertec was also shortlisted for Corporate Supporter of the Year. While the award was not secured on this occasion, being shortlisted places Sertec among a small number of organisations recognised for their contribution and continued support of the hospital.

This recognition reflects the strong culture across Sertec, where collaboration, shared responsibility, and community engagement are embedded within the organisation. Being acknowledged at an external event of this scale highlights the collective effort and values demonstrated across the business.

Ongoing Partnership

Recognition at the 100 Heroes event represents sustained effort rather than a single initiative and aligns with Sertec’s wider commitment to making a positive impact through long‑term partnerships.

Sertec has confirmed that its partnership with Birmingham Children’s Hospital will continue this year, with further activity planned as part of the ongoing collaboration.
