Sustainability and Adapting to Tomorrow’s Demands
In the modern manufacturing landscape, customer demands and product designs are constantly shifting. Our automation solutions are engineered with a dynamic environment in mind, offering great flexibility.
By standardising processes through automation, we create highly adaptable systems, where advanced equipment and established processes can be repurposed or reutilised for different applications and evolving production needs. This flexibility means we can quickly pivot, optimising our operations to meet changing requirements, ensuring we can always deliver innovative solutions, even as our partners’ products and market demands change.
Automation also directly supports our sustainability goals, and those of our partners. By enabling the repurposing and reutilisation of robotics equipment and automation systems for new products, this significantly reduces waste and optimises resource efficiency across our operations.

Our EcoVadis Journey
To benchmark our sustainability performance, we partner with EcoVadis, a globally recognised platform for external assessment. This partnership complements our internal KPIs, providing a transparent, third-party validation of our progress.
EcoVadis validation helps us to identify key improvement areas, create targeted initiatives, and ensure our sustainability efforts are aligned with the highest customer and industry standards.
Scope 1, 2, and 3: A Clear Path to Net Zero
To understand Sertec’s carbon footprint, we look at the three scopes of emissions across a globally acknowledged framework for tracking greenhouse gases.
We have meticulously completed our Scope 1 and 2 emissions calculations and have begun the intensive process of Scope 3 data collection.
Our emissions are diligently tracked by fuel type and plant, which allows us to identify specific areas for improvement and launch targeted carbon emissions reduction projects. This data is rigorously validated through collaboration with partners, ensuring its accuracy and integrity.
By comprehensively tracking our emissions, we are creating a clear roadmap and supporting our strategic planning toward our vision for Net Zero by 2035.
