Our apprenticeships are so much more than just work. We also give our apprentices the opportunity to get involved with many other activities to develop their skill-sets.
Outward Bound Week
Our 1st year Apprentices spend a week climbing up mountains, rowing across lakes, scaling trees and most importantly, working together as a team! An apprenticeship is more than just learning a trade; it’s about developing your knowledge, skills and behaviours, so that you can be the best that you can be.
Our Apprentices are often asked to represent Sertec at a number of career events throughout the academic year. They do a fantastic job of engaging with students and explaining the opportunities that engineering holds.
Earlier this year our apprentices held an ‘Apprenticeship talk’ with a local school. This was an opportunity for them to tell their own stories and share why they believe engineering apprenticeships offer a fantastic start to their own careers.
Our 1st and 2nd year apprentices are involved in industry recognised competitions such as ISME, where they can put their new skills into practice. Last year we had some great success with a number of Apprentices walking away with prizes.
If you think you have what it takes to be one of our Apprentices, apply to our live vacancies below or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
