Engineering Apprenticeships

Our engineering apprenticeship scheme is built up of classroom based learning and hands-on experience, allowing you to develop skills that provide you with the best start to your career in engineering.

The key routes we have available are:


Toolmaking is the pathway responsible for ensuring our press tooling is properly maintained in order to ensure efficient operations.

Typical duties include:

  • Carrying out repairs on tooling, jigs and fixtures
  • Looking after tooling modifications and refurbishments
  • Manufacturing jigs and fixtures.

2Maintenance is the route responsible for carrying out equipment and site repairs, modifications and improvements.

Typical duties include:

  • Fault finding and associated repairs on a variety of plant equipment
  • Carrying out inspections and reporting findings
  • Assisting with planned maintenance programmes.


Technical Support is the pathway whereby you will sample different roles, providing engineering support to all production areas within the business so as to gain insight into different company processes.

Typical duties include:

  • Assisting with the introduction of new work to the business
  • Developing new manufacturing cells to fall inline with the introduction of new processes
  • Investigating and implementing improvement projects.
