FORWARD THINKING SERTEC PROMOTES FROM
WITHIN
Sertec Birmingham Ltd., the Birmingham based
automotive component manufacturer, has appointed
Steve Morley to the board as Operations Director.
In the second phase of restructuring since the
successful management buy out of Sertec Group
Holdings Ltd less than 12 months ago, this is
a new position created as a result of the recent
growth in size of both plant and turnover. Mr.
Morley has been instrumental in its management
and performance and his elevation to the board
is recognition of his efforts and the need to
secure excellence within the company.
Sertec’s Managing Director, Grant Adams,
was delighted to make the announcement. “Since
joining Sertec in 1996, Steve’s drive and
expertise has been a significant factor in the
development and success of our Birmingham operation.
We have worked very hard to achieve excellence
in what we do, and Steve’s determination
to keep us at the forefront of automotive component
supply in the UK is an example to all who work
with him.”
Sertec Birmingham Ltd. has seen an increase
in turnover to £25 million (Sertec Group
Holdings currently stands at £40 million)
and now employs almost 300 people. Besides 1st
tier manufacturing for Land Rover, Jaguar and
Aston Martin, new 2nd tier supply to Japanese
automotive manufacturers has bolstered recent
growth in all aspects of the company.
